The Man of Character: Part 2

A Man Stands Tallest On His Knees

The Man of Character leaves every experience with a lesson in hand. He considers his experience whether it failure or success and combines it with his understanding and wisdom to produce a better effort on the next occasion. This is part 2 in the series on The Man of Character! The Man of Good Character has:

1. Priorities: His Priorities are in order and he executes them in that manner; from most important to the least. In this way, he operates at high efficiency.
2. Flexible: He remains Flexible in his actions and knows that being rigid and stuck in one mindset is a trap. He knows when adjustments are necessary and makes them accordingly.
3. Preparation: He is prepared for the task at hand. It’s a rare occasion that he is caught un-prepared. He understands the 5 P’s: Prior Preparation Prevents Poor Performance.
4. Grateful: He is grateful and remains sensitive in his natural tendency to take things for granted. Because he’s grateful for the small things, he invites larger blessings into his life.
5. Dedication: He chooses where he spends his time wisely and to those few things he remains dedicated. He knows that a Jack of all trades is a master of none, so he chooses one thing and does it well.
6. Patience: He understands that anything of value doesn’t come quickly or easily. With this in mind, he is patient and rarely does he rush into anything. He knows that being overzealous can create disastrous results.
7. Humility: He remains humble in all his ways and lays down his pride upon it’s every showing. He knows how destructive pride can be and remains sensitive to its presence.
8. Communication: He understands the value of communication and knows how easily it can be misused. He knows that you can not, not communicate and that we are always communicating in some way. He realizes that listening is a big part of communicating and is often overlooked. With this knowledge he strives to communicate well.
9. Endurance: He has great endurance and realizes that the race doesn’t always go to the swift but the one who can endure the challenges along the way.
10. Generosity: He is Generous not only with his time and finances but his emotions as well. He knows that he is just a small piece in a greater whole and that giving can have a rippling effect on society and others.

The Man of Character is steady in all his ways, consistency is his trademark. His stability is a source of strength to others. His accounts live through the ages and provide an example of excellence for those to come. Stay tuned for part 3 in the coming weeks!
